Meeting for human trafficking activities in Africa

Golinga (Ghana), 12 August – On the 12th August, 2023, the staff of IDA GHANA visited, Gbulahagu D/A Junior High School in Golinga electoral area, to meet with the staff, PTA, and SMC to inform them of the anti-human trafficking club to be formed in the school. As part is the initiation process of meeting with the school authorities, we were three staff from IDA GHANA, eight (8) staff of the of the school, Executives from PTA, and Executives from the SMC. They participants were briefed of the alarming rise in human trafficking activities in Africa and the need to create awareness in the communities and the children, hence that is the reason for the formation of the anti-human trafficking clubs in the selected schools.  They were told to select the members for the club and present their list to the club patron and wait for the day for the inauguration and training in each of the school. The headmaster and the stakeholders present welcomed the activities present and assured their support to the fight against human trafficking in the country.
