Geneva, 25 to 29 August 2025, Palais des Nations, Room XXVII – Eleonore Priod, IDA representative introduces the NourDign concept for the Sustainable cities in Africa. The seminar on sustainable cities in Africa: innovations and partnerships for urban development was held against a backdrop of accelerating urbanization on the continent. This dynamic, which brings with its major challenges – insufficient housing, saturated mobility, waste management, environmental pressures and social divisions – also reveals considerable opportunities. Local expertise, the energy of African youth, technological innovations and international partnerships are paving the way for concrete and sustainable solutions.
