Rice and Maize Interprofessional Agricultural Organizations Ivory Coast

Abidjan, 22 November – In Abidjan a ceremony was held to hand over rolling stock and IT equipment to the Rice and Maize Interprofessional Agricultural Organizations. The equipment consists of 01 4×4 vehicle, laptops and desktops, computer consumables and office furniture. These gifts from the Ministry of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Food Production, with the support of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), are part of the policy to strengthen the mobility, organizational and working capacities of players in the food sector, led by the Minister of State ADJOUMANI in his ministerial department. The aim is to have more operational and dynamic players in order to increase food production in the field. Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Eugène Kouassi N’Zi, President of the maize inter-professional organization and IDA member, expressed the gratitude of the maize and rice industry players to the Government for all the work it has done to help producers, and especially for the effective establishment of the Inter-professional Agricultural Organizations.  He reiterated their unfailing commitment and determination to support Minister of State Kobenan Kouassi ADJOUMANI in fulfilling the mission entrusted to him by the President of the Republic, namely to achieve national self-sufficiency.
