Abidjan, 28 October – A partnership is established linking IDA and ANOPACI in order to allow a repositioning of the agricultural sector thanks to policies which will enhance the credibility of the sector, for Two million two hundred and thirty-five thousand (2,235,000) active Farmers and Producers distributed throughout Côte d’Ivoire, under the chairmanship of Mr. N’ZI Kouassi Eugène. The National Association of Professional Agricultural Organizations of Côte d’Ivoire, Association “ANOPACI”, which is the umbrella organization, the patronage of the Ivorian agricultural world. It brings together all the main Agro-Sylvo-Pastoral and Fisheries sectors of Côte d’Ivoire, twenty (20) in number, namely: coffee, cocoa, rubber, palm oil, cashew, pineapple, banana, mango, cereals (rice, corn), pepper, cotton, sugar cane, cola, beekeeping, small ruminants (sheep), poultry, pork, fishing. The life of these sectors is led by 35 OPAs. ANOPACI through its member organizations contributes more than 80% to the agricultural wealth of Côte d’Ivoire.
