
Dakar, 4 Mai 2026 – IDA International took part in the Bocuse d’Or Senegal, an event that celebrates culinary excellence, represented here by Mr. Moussa Diakhaté, acting on behalf of the High Commissioner, Mr Mbacké Diop. Beyond the competitive aspect, the Bocuse d’Or serves as a mark of quality for participants, enabling them to establish themselves in the profession.
It was in 2005, given the number of countries wishing to be represented in the competition, that the inaugural pre-selection tournament was organized to establish national and then continental selections (Europe, America, Asia-Pacific, Africa). It is these continental selections that determine the 24 countries that will qualify for the World Cup of Gastronomy.
As a reminder, this event forms part of a wider project in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Crafts and Tourism, which aims to promote Senegal and its chefs by showcasing the culinary arts in all their forms, as well as regional produce, with a view to achieving sustainable food sovereignty.
