Dakar, 29 October – Mission to Senegal – Sectoral tables, company visits and b2b meetings.
During the business mission to Senegal that took place this week, the Italian delegation took part in company visits to innovative local companies and to the country’s main production districts, such as the Agropole Centre, a strategic hub for the development of the agro-industrial sector whose main objective is to strengthen the added value of agricultural products and reduce dependence on imports.
During the Economic Forum, numerous B2B meetings were also held between Italian and Senegalese companies, aimed at strengthening synergies and joint business prospects.
The General Manager, Patrizia Mauro, and Angela Giordano, Head of Business Development, also moderated the sectoral tables dedicated to agribusiness and energy, priority sectors of the Senegalese Government’s Development Plan, respectively: on the one hand, the goal of the local authorities is to bring the share of renewables in the energy mix to 36% by 2029, on the other hand, mechanization and product transformation processes, The priorities of the agro-industrial supply chain, which has grown at an annual average of about 6% in the last decade, remain.
